How much will it cost?
Developmental Behavioral Pedaitrics is a high demand specialty and there are very few of us in the world. Using a direct pay model (also called “fee-for-service” or “self-payment”) allows us to work outside of the cumbersome rules imposed by insurance company models. We can therefore take the time needed to see you or your child and provide a comprehensive assessment (which includes the assessment for Autism) free from bias and free from unnecessary constraints. By doing this, I am able to keep an open schedule and most evaluations happen within 1-3 days to two weeks.
**Please note, if you are in Washington State and on any Medicaid plan as your primary, secondary or any tier of insurance at the time of your visit, you are not allowed to self-pay for your medical care. I am in network with the Washington State Medicaid plans, but please do not book a “New Patient Apointment”. Instead, use the contact form at the very bottom of the booking page and we will call to discuss your options.**
I am not in network at this location with any other insurance plans in Washington.
For Texas and Indiana, I am not in network with any insurance plan, including Medicaid plans, and you can proceed to schedule an appointment. (The appontment will be virtual if you are not in Washington).
Our fee for the initial assessment is based on several factors to include the time it takes and the testing involved. Currently the price you will pay is the following (This will be updated if fees change):
Age 1-4 years: $1200
Age 5-15: $1500
Age 16-adult: $1800
Medical care is complex and any price for follow up care appointments or appointments beyond the initial visit will be discussed with you. We will not bill you for any fees without first coming to an agreement with you prior to any follow up visit.
Upon request, I will provide you with a biling summary or “Superbill” which you can submit to your insurance plan or, in some cases, an Employee Assistance Program (if applicable) for reimbursement. We do not guarantee that either your insurance provider or your employer will provide any reimburement.
If you prefer discuss your individual circumstances first, please fill out the contact us form on this website or call or email info@devomd.com. By eliminating the need to work through the insurance claims process, the cost of care is reduced.
If you would like to obtain a “prior authorization” or a “single case agreement” from your insurance company prior to your visit with me, please call and I will provide you with the information needed to make the request.
All fees are due (payable by credit card) at the time of the service and no long term payment plans are currently available.
